The arm drops on the nearly end of the record, rolling on the wheel it
moves outside until the wheel passes the record edge, triggering the
mechanism to withdraw the wheel and placing the needle on the record.
Another clever technical solution concerns the needle
turn-around by selecting the record speed. In fact this
is the only adjustment needed to operate the changer.
To meet hi-fi requirement, in the beginning of the sixties,
Luxor removed the wheel. Later on the automatic
needle turnover also disappeared.
